Teaching

Practicing the Way

We're spending time in our Sunday teaching looking at what it means to have a relationship with Jesus and follow his teaching.

To help us in this we are following a program called Practicing the Way. This is a brilliant teaching series developed by American author and pastor John Mark Comer. We'll be using this teaching to help us grow and become more like Jesus.

You can find out more about Practicing the Way here.

How can I engage in this teaching?

There are a number of different ways that you can engage on this journey. Here’s how you can get involved.

Come Along on a Sunday Morning - 10:30am

It's a joy to be able to gather and worship on a Sunday morning. Commit to coming along every Sunday, watching the teaching together and listening to what God is saying to us. You might even want to bring along a journal and pen to make some notes.

If you miss any of the teaching on a Sunday morning you can head over to our youtube channel and catch up there!

Join a Small Group

This course is designed to be worked through in community. The way to get the most from this teaching series is to join a Small Group. Small Groups will be working  through the teaching together, journeying as disciples of Jesus.

Sign up to a Small Group here.

The Companion Guide

There's a helpful companion guide that you can use through this series. There are spaces to take notes, questions to reflect on, and additional material you can choose to engage with. You can buy a copy here.

Please note, the companion guide isn't essential to the teaching on a Sunday, you will still be able to get lots out of the Sunday teaching without it.

Spiritual Health Reflection

Practicing the Way have produced a Spiritual Health Refection tool. This is a series of questions which allows you to reflect on your own discipleship journey. You might want to use this tool as a way of seeing the growth in your discipleship. You can access the tool here.
Resources to go Deeper

For each week, the Companion Guide gives a list of further reading, podcasts, and videos to watch if you want to dig in deeper.
